Raw Banana and Celery Soup (Kache Kele aur Celery ka Soup)

Raw Banana and Celery Soup step by step instructions:

We generally make potato soup but have you tried making raw banana (kache kele) soup. If not, then this recipe is a must try. This soup is perfect for a cold winter evening. I have added onions to the soup which you can certainly skip to make it a Jain soup.
My mother doesn’t eat potatoes and hence she makes all those things, which are made from potatoes; from raw bananas.

Ingredients:
Raw Banana (Kacha Kela): 1 (100 gms, peeled & cut into small pieces)
Celery: 1 sprig (25 gms, chopped)
Onion: 1 small (50 gms, chopped)
Milk: 1⁄2 cup
Water: 1 cup
Salt as per taste
Black Pepper powder as per taste

Method:


1. In a pan add water and bring it to a boil.
2. Add onion, celery, and raw banana pieces.



3. Add salt and mix well. Cover and let cook for 15 minutes, or until all of the vegetables are very tender.



4. Coarsely crush the bananas using a potato masher.




5. Add milk and black pepper powder. Mix well.




6. Let cook for a few more minutes.
7. Serve hot.
8. Yummy "Raw Banana and Celery Soup" is ready!


Tips:
1. If you like the soup to be chunky, then don't mash the banans.
2. The quantity of milk can be adjusted as per the thickness you require for the soup.
3. Raw bananas require a little more salt and pepper. So add those accordingly.
4. If you want to make the soup even richer, then add half cream and half milk.
