Aloo Palak Bajra Roti

Aloo Palak Bajra Roti step by step instructions:

Bajra roti always tastes wonderful and what if we add goodness of spinach and potatoes to it. They taste even more wonderful.

Ingredients:
Black Millet Flour (Bajra atta): 1 cup
Potato (Aloo): 1 (boiled, skin removed and grated)
Spinach (Palak): 1 cup (washed and finely chopped)
Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves: 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Ginger: 1 tsp (grated)
Chaat masala: ½ tsp
Red chili powder: ½ tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
Asafoetida: a pinch
Cumin seeds: ½ tsp
Water: ¼ cup (lukewarm)
Sugar: 1 tsp (optional)
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. In a big bowl mix together bajra flour, Aloo, Palak, Coriander leaves, Onion, Ginger, Chaat masala, Red chili powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder, Asafetida, Cumin seeds, and Salt.





2. Add water and knead into a smooth dough. Let the dough rest for half an hour.



3. Divide the dough into 6-7 equal balls.



4. Take one ball and flatten it. Apply some dry flour and roll into a thin circle.




5. Heat a tawa.
6. Put the roti on it. Let it cook on one side. Then flip it and cook on the other side.




7. Apply ghee on both the sides of the roti and cook for few more seconds.




8. Serve hot with kadhi, pickle etc.
9. Healthy “Aloo Palak Bajra Roti” is ready!


Tips:
1. Add water carefully while you knead the flour as spinach and potato gives a binding to the flour and extra water may result in a very loose dough.
