Besan Palak ki Sabji

Besan and Palak ki Sabji step by step instructions:

We all know that how beneficial spinach is for our health. But sometimes we are bored of eating the sabji made from spinach alone. Try this besan palak ki sabji. A couple of tbsp. of besan (gram flour) added to the veggie makes a big difference in its taste.


Let us start cooking!!!

Ingredients:
Spinach (palak): 1 cup (washed and finely chopped)
Gram flour (besan): 2 tbsp
Water: ½ to ¾ cup
Oil: 1 tbsp
Asafoetida: a pinch
Mustard seeds: ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds: ½ tsp
Red chili powder: ¾ tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
Cinnamon powder: ¼ tsp
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add asafetida and mustard seeds. Let the seeds crackle.
2. Add cumin seeds. Fry for a few seconds.
3. Add besan and roast until the besan changes color.


4. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cinnamon powder, and salt. Mix well.
5. Add water and mix well. Make sure no lumps remain.
6. Add the chopped spinach. Mix well.


7. Let it cook covered for around 13-15 minutes stirring occasionally.
8. Healthy and delicious besan and palak ki sabji is ready.
9. Serve it hot with roti, paratha.

Tips:
1. Always add a little water at a time. This prevents the formation of lumps in the batter.
2. The quantity of water depends on the type of sabji you want.
