Kache Kele Kebabs ki Frankie

Kache Kele Kebabs ki Frankie step by step instructions:

In my previous post, I had shown you how to make yummy raw banana kebabs. (Check out the recipe here!) But what if you have some extra left with you and you just don’t want to eat them plain. The best solution to it is to make Frankie. I totally love Frankie. It is so flavorful and it can be treated as a complete meal too.

I always prefer making the Frankie with whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour. Also, I apply coriander chutney and tomato ketchup on the roti. Many prefer applying tamarind chutney instead of tomato ketchup. The choice is absolutely yours. And trust me both the combinations will yield a perfect and super tasty Frankie.

Let us start cooking!!!

Ingredients:
Raw Bananas Kebabs (Kache kele kebabs): 6
Whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta): 1 cup
Water: ½ cup
Oil: 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Green chutney: 6 tbsp
Tomato Ketchup: 6 tbsp
Tomato: 1 (finely chopped)
Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
Cheese cubes: 3 (grated)
Ghee for cooking the Frankie

Method:
1. In a plate mix together flour, oil, and salt. Add water and knead into a smooth dough. Let it rest for at least half an hour.

2. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts.

3. Take one dough ball and roll it thinly.

4. Heat a tawa and keep the roti on it. Cook from both the sides.

5. Similarly, prepare the other rotis also.

6. Take one roti and put 1 tbsp. of each green chutney and tomato ketchup on the roti.

7. Spread it evenly.

8. Take one kebab and keep it on the center of the roti.

9. Put some tomato and onions pieces on it.
10. Put some of the grated cheese on it.

11. Fold from both the sides.
12. Similarly, prepare other Frankie also.
13. Heat a tawa and grease it with ghee.
14. Keep the prepared Frankie on the tawa. Let cook. Apply ghee on the top and then invert. Let cook for some time or until it gets crunchy.

15. Serve hot.
16. Delicious “Kache Kele Kebab ki Frankie” is ready!

Tips:
1. At a time prepare that many Frankie only which can come on the tawa. Otherwise, the remaining Frankie will get soggy.
2. I prefer to roll the Frankie rotis a bit thin. This gives me perfect crunchy Frankie.

See you soon with a new recipe till then Happy Cooking!!!
