Mooli Palak ki Sabji (Spinach with Radish)

Mooli Palak ki Sabji step by step instructions:


Radish combined with spinach is a very tasty veggie. I generally combine radish (mooli) with some other vegetable as it enhances the flavor of the entire veggie.

Let us start cooking!!!

Radish with Spinach or Mooli palak ki sabji

Ingredients:
Radish (Mooli): 100 gms
Spinach (Palak): ¾ cup (75 gms, chopped)
Mustard oil: 1 tbsp
Asafoetida: a pinch
Mustard seeds: ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds: ½ tsp
Red chili powder: ½ tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
Carom seeds powder: ¼ tsp
Cinnamon powder: 1/8 tsp
Water: ¼ cup
Lemon juice: ¼ tsp
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. In a wok/kadai heat mustard oil. Add asafetida and mustard seeds. Let the seeds crackle. Add cumin seeds and fry for a few seconds.



2. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ajwain powder, dalchini (cinnamon) powder, and salt. Mix well.



3. Add mooli and palak. Mix well.



4. Add water.
5. Cover the veggie and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes.



6. Add lemon juice.
7. Serve hot with roti, paratha etc.
8. Healthy “Mooli Palak ki sabji” is ready.


Tips:
1. The quantity of water can be adjusted as per one’s requirement.
2. To speed up the cooking process you can microwave both the veggies separately and then temper it. This technique will give other taste.
3. I prefer using mustard oil for making any veggie out of radish. You can use any oil as per your taste.
